Our client is a global leader in providing multilingual localisation solutions, specialising in digital interactive entertainment. By now it has completed hundreds of game localisation projects. Responsibilities

  • Translate in-game text, marketing materials, and docs from Chinese to English (target 3K to 4k Chinese characters/day).
  • Proofread and polish localized content (dialogue, UI, item descriptions, tutorials), ensuring fluency, grammar, consistency, and cultural appropriateness (target 6k to 8k Chinese characters/day).
  • Work with the localization team to align content with gameplay and narrative, flag cultural sensitivities, and use CAT tools to maintain translation memories and glossaries.

Requirements

  • Language: either native English with advanced Chinese (HSK6) or native Chinese with advanced English (IELTS 8.5 / CEFR C2).
  • 3+ years in game localization (Chinese to English) with CAT tool proficiency.
  • Strong cultural awareness of English-speaking markets, attention to detail, self-motivated, able to work remotely/asynchronously.
  • Passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming
  • Preferred: Experience with Leading Chinese game developers, interest in ACG, scifi/fantasy, history/mythology, and background in linguistics or creative writing; knowledge of localization workflows.
